IRC Channel Modes
Channel modes control access, visibility and moderation. Available modes can vary by IRC daemon and network configuration; IRCPlus uses UnrealIRCd 6.2.x.
Membership privileges
+q— channel owner status.+a— channel administrator status.+o— channel operator status.+h— half-operator status, where enabled.+v— voice; allows a user to speak in a moderated channel.
Visibility and access
+i— invite-only channel.+p— private channel.+s— secret channel, hidden from standard channel listings.+k— channel key (password).+l— limit the number of members.
Messaging and moderation
+m— only voiced users and operators may speak.+n— block messages from users outside the channel.+t— restrict topic changes to channel operators.+b— add a ban mask.
View or change modes
Use /mode #channel to view modes. Changing them requires the appropriate channel privileges. Check the server's help for the complete mode list and syntax.
