A friendly chat starts with respect. These simple guidelines help keep IRCPlus welcoming and safe for everyone.

🤝 Be respectful

Treat other people with respect. Harassment, threats, discrimination and personal attacks are not allowed.
Avoid excessive capital letters, which can feel like shouting.
Follow reasonable instructions from channel operators and moderators.

💬 Keep chat readable

Do not flood a channel with repeated or excessive messages.
Keep very large blocks of text out of chat. Use a paste service when appropriate.
Use the channel that best fits the conversation and its topic.

🔐 Protect yourself

Be cautious with links, files and downloads from people you do not know.
Do not post sensitive personal information in public channels.
Never share passwords or account credentials in chat.

🛡️ Moderation

Contact a channel operator if you need help or see a serious issue.
Rule violations may lead to a warning, kick or ban, depending on the situation.
