IRC Commands for IRCPlus
Use these commands in an IRC client. Replace example nicknames and channel names with the values you want to use.
Everyday IRC commands
/join #channel— join a channel./part #channel— leave a channel./nick NewName— change your nickname./msg nickname message— send a private message./notice nickname message— send a notice./whois nickname— view information about a user./list— list public channels./away message— set an away status./quit message— disconnect with a message.
Channel commands
/topic #channel— view a channel topic./names #channel— list channel members./invite nickname #channel— invite a user./kick #channel nickname reason— remove a user, if you have permission./mode #channel +nt— set channel modes, if you have permission.
NickServ and ChanServ
NickServ and ChanServ commands depend on network configuration. Use the services' built-in help for the current syntax. Never share your account password in a public channel.
IRC operator commands
Commands such as /KLINE, /GLINE, /CONNECT and /SQUIT require IRC operator privileges. Use administrative commands only when authorized and consult the UnrealIRCd documentation for syntax.
