How it works

From your first request to your own running IRC bot, the process is designed to be simple and safe.

Submit your details

Choose your bot nickname, IRC server, port, channel and owner nickname. Your private setup secret is used for the initial owner registration.

Get approved

Your request is forwarded to FreeEggdrop-Serv on IRC. Cjefke reviews it before any Eggdrop installation is created.

Claim your Eggdrop

After approval, use the one-time setup command to register your owner account. You have 24 hours to complete registration.

Eggdrop configuration

Configure the connection and tell us which IRC nickname will own your bot.

Bot nickname Required Start with a letter. Use letters, numbers, underscores or hyphens. Owner IRC nickname Required The IRC nickname you will use to claim and manage your Eggdrop. IRC server hostname Required Enter the server hostname, without a protocol or port number. Server port Required Port 6697 is commonly used for TLS. Your network may use a different port. Channel to join Required Enter one channel, including the leading #. Connection security Required Use TLS when the selected server port supports encrypted connections.

Private setup secret

Create a one-time secret Required After approval, you will use this secret once with /msg YourBotNick hello YOUR_SECRET. Choose a unique secret. Never reuse your IRC, email or other account password.

Your request is reviewed before installation. Submitting this form does not automatically create a running Eggdrop.

Keep your Eggdrop safe

This service is provided for responsible IRC use. Please keep your bot secure and respect other networks.

Do not use your Eggdrop for spam, flooding, harassment or attacks.
Only connect to IRC networks and channels where bots are permitted.
Choose a unique setup secret. It should be removed after the owner has been successfully registered.
The 24-hour claim deadline starts when Cjefke approves your request. Installation time counts toward this window. Unclaimed installations are removed automatically.
The service does not provide SSH access, Linux shell access or arbitrary command execution.

Privacy and security
The service needs your requested bot settings to provision and operate your Eggdrop. Avoid sharing passwords in public channels. IRC private messages are not end-to-end encrypted; use this HTTPS website form if you prefer not to send your setup secret over IRC.
