PC Bouncer v1.0 by Amadeus

pcbounce.mrc
This script was inspired by Auto-Bnc 0.2 written by
defsquad <newnet irc>, and bnc.mrc by myself.

PC Bounce is a mIRC client interface to BNC, a unix irc
proxy server. You must have a BNC account in order to use
this script.

Access to PC Bounce functions is via titlebar menu, and the
status and channel context (right click) menus.

Menus:
Help - shows a bit of help
  Status - shows current configuration
  Config
Preferred - shows editable list of your preferred irc servers

  Vhosts
List - shows editable list of your vhosts
                    - right click selects
Get - function to get the current vhost list from
      ON - your bnc server
      OFF

Config Menu:

The menu shows current configuration. Double-Clicking on a
field will either bring up a dialog, OR scroll through the
list of available options. Please note that option displayed
IS option saved.

IRC Server Selection:

While you can enter a specific irc server in that field of
the config, if you enter "auto", PCBounce can automatically
select an IRC server in one of 4 modes: Locked, Random, Sequential
and Preferred.

          Mode#

Locked: - the server you enter in server field will be the
                only one tried
Random: 0 random servers for configured network
are selected. a new random server is
                selected on retry
Sequential: 1 retry sequential steps through servers of
                configured netwrok
Preferred: 2 only servers in this list are tried

In RANDOM and SEQENTIAL MODES, Preferred servers can be
added on connect, you will be asked. You can also edit this
list by Double-clicking in the PCbounce config menu.

If irc server is not set to auto, mode is LOCKED
else mode set will be used.

Vhosts:

VHost configuration reads a file called VHosts.txt. Note that
GET VHOSTS function creates a file called NewVhosts.txt, you must
copy this to Vhosts.txt in order to use the list.

NOTE: GET Vhosts function will NOT work correctly if you run
any scripts which install NOTICE flood protection. In that
case you will have to get the list either via telnet or from
your bnc provider. GET VHOSTS is automatically DISABLED on startup.

mIRC client configuration:
  Identd should be ON
Local Info should be set to Get IP/HOSTNAME in NORMAL Mode
(if this does not work for you, see bounce_mirc.mrc below)
For auto reconnect, enter your bounce server address, port and password
  in servers list.
  Set Try next server OFF
  Set Reconnect on Disconnection ON

bounce_mirc.mrc
I have also included bounce_mirc.mrc which should prove
useful to those of us who have network cards or other
devices and find that mIRC in its Normal Local Info mode,
always gets wrong hostname and IP. In this situation, the
only way to bounce AND be able to initiate dcc is to
manually enter hostname and ip before connecting to bnc.

This script automates this process. Using a plain mirc
client, it connects normally, gets ip, hostname and longip and
WRITES them to the INI file of the mIRC client you wish to
bounce. It then runs that client and exits itself.

 Usage:
  - setup a plainjane mirc with only bounce_mirc.mrc loaded in remotes.
  - Set Local Info to Get ip/hostname in Server mode.
  - Edit bounce_mirc.mrc script for path of the mirc client you wish to bounce.

  - In the mirc client you wish to bounce, set it up to NOT get ip
or hostname and set Local Info in Normal mode.
  - the mirc client you wish to bounce should have PC Bouncer
    pcbounce.mrc installed in remotes.

These two scripts should NOT be loaded on same client!@
