                          The Entity7 tcl-system
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aviation revision 2.6

* Upgraded the setup procedures. Ability to auto-generate an
aviation config file. Ability to automatically crontab the bot.
Added process hiding tool for stealth / security on multiuser boxes.
* Mkcron, mkconf utilities added, quench.c updated
* Config file values optimized and added for 1.3.22 options
* IRCServer lists updated
* New feature '.spawn' added: allows you to spawn new bots from
dcc-chat on-the-fly and start them immediately
* HELP SYSTEM updated. .egghelp command for original help added
* Some tweaking of flood protection/security behaviour
* Ability to remove a server from serverlist in dcc chat added (.kline)
* BitchX simulator fixed, should be faking and protecting 99,9% now :)
* GetOPS: less redundant requests, immediate gainops sent to random bots
straight after rejoining channels (efficient for aviation-botnets).
* Autoaway fixed (silly error), anti-idle time limit works better now
* Fixed botnet channel-cycling
* .mver and .ping botnet version/tcl/eggdrop requests
* New jump reasons, jump is actually working now ;) (+ tcl jump workaround)
* Patched havoc-creating bug in reop proc... :)
* .rnick/.ragnarok random nick procs greatly improved
* .xnick to create "clones" (bots use same base nick, followed by a number)
* Floodnet fixed... oper check and nonexistant user check working now,
flood max will be set to sane values to prevent excess floods
(only on the bots sides of course ;))
* Portflood improved, but I'd still advise removing the bind for your
main net hub(s) if you really should have an use for this feature ;)
* New HUB functions: .qpass (remove unlinked bots' passwords),
.autolink (relink all bots with +Z periodically)
* Added security to TCL Upgrade (updater must know owner password
from owner of bot that is to be updated).

Aviation revision 1.6

* DOH! The password protected message commands returned mostly 1,
meaning the password was getting logged with console +m - fixed
* If someone stole a bots original nick he was getting invited
  instead of the bot... fixed
* The bots op flooded themselves on large botnets... fixed,
added a short random delay for pushmode +o.
* Nasty error in checkpass (bots msg bots, ['s instead of \['s), fixed
* Anti-idle re-added, should be working now
* BitchX replies fixed (CLIENTINFO differed from standard replies)
* Removed the .reload binding which also contains a possible exploit
* New feature: .upgrade ! You can now dynamically upgrade bots with
script versions 1.6+ via dcc command.
* Added new feature "Aviation HUB", which can link all bots at once,
add a hub/sharebot on the fly and show which bots arent linked.
	  .linkall , .tolink , .newhub , .newbot
* Lots of little things fixed :)

Entity6 - Aviation

* Configuration does now work for 1.3.18 and higher
* Mode bindings for 1.3.18+
* Stealth-Telnet etc. to hide from IRCops, also
updated BitchX cloaking with fake bX commands
* Updated server list for all irc nets
* Fixed bugs in portflood (could crash bot)
* Redid ICMP and added Botnet Quench flood
  (Highspeed random port UDP flood)
* Screwy bans done by non-bots/owners are autofixed
* Auto-cleans its userfile (no need for 'weed')
* Help section updated & fixed
* AutoJumper was broken :/ fixed
* GetOps FINALLY works (dcc .getops command & automatic)
  removed the nick!uhost -> handle? = b condition
removed the botnet messages/replies (annoying :)
* No more desynch after netsplits by deopping bots
(made possible by allow_resync config option)
* Fixed Dike2 flood protection (banned users etc.)
* .share updated, added .mbchattr for bots and .mver
* .ctcpreply added to exploit mIRC lusers maybe :)
* msg:up can now op you on all channels
* Fixed "reop" to protect botowners from being deopped
* .hack (ircop password guessing) shouldnt be
  detected so easily now :)
* WWW gateway now creates public HTML files in
  $HOME/public_html instead of ../public_html

Entity5 - Shadow

* Redid AutoJump, added protection (wont jump unless connected
to more than 2 bots to regain ops)
* Added ragnarok and www (see features)
* Optimized GainOps (its much faster now)
  - added dcc command .getops for instant ops
* Re-added portflood and note-bomb
* Optimized the floodnet for speed
* Changed default channel and userfile to file.BOTNICK
(produced errors when running two bots from the same dir)
* Better flood protection, fixed BitchX cloaker
* New Anti-Idle that cycles random channels
* New config file concept, less user settings necessary
-If no realname is set, the bot uses a cool random realname
* Made .share work with new 1.3 flags (hopefully) :)
* Added a feature to the ircop interface that tries
to hack ircop passwords by issuing /OPERs

Entity4

Entity IV was basically entity3 without all the modular scripts,
because I found out that they sucked. I removed the bouncer and
made the script 100% 1.3.x compatible.

Entity3 Final (Version III b)

* Debugged all procs (global variables caused errors)
* Redid the language file
* Redid the startup configuration system (entity3.tcl, standard.tcl)
* Added more flood alarms to security.tcl
* Fixed nameserver lookups in icmp.tcl

Entity3 Revision A (Version III a) - not released into public

* Redid the whole script, modified *all* bindings, created
  more aliases.
* Split the tcl into twenty small tcls, which could all be loaded
from the config file. Created a basic INIT procedure.
* Redid the help system - is now feature oriented (each one of
the twenty tcls became an optional 'feature' of entity).
* Redid flood protection, security, BX cloaker, exploit monitoring
* Added shell access and global channel commands to dcc section
* Redid botnet parts, adding bots is easier and faster. Added protection
against desynches and disconnections in the botnet. Added better commands.
* Redid War scripts, ICMP works now over a botnet, Portflood is about
75% more efficient when flooding with a botnet.
* Redid the whole user interface and all messages.
* REMOVED all public commands and converted them into password protected
message commands. Added exploit monitoring to certain commands.
* Redid the basic definitions and the get ops script. Channel keys are
sent properly over bot nets now.
* Made a new partyline and irc interface for the bot with better replies and
  built-in help for many functions.
* Added copy-protection to prevent people from putting
backdoors into the script and/or ripping it.

Entity2 Revision H (Version II b)

* Removed netsplit alarm because it was exploitable and didnt
  work well with 1.2 bots.
* Updated configuraion part. Script now needs less configuration
and entries in the config file and uses all 1.2 options.
* Updated bounce server. Access to the spoofing tcp connection pipe
is now faster and more secure. Added authorization control in form
  of DCC command ".bounce".
* Fixed the "DCC panic"-bug. The bot will now be able to have
about 1000 DCC connections instead of four. :)

Entity2 Revision F (Version II)

* Fixed auto-op/key/unban/invite/limit - system. You just type:
"newchannel #channel" in the config file and the script does all
other settings. It will also detect if you have a lot of channels
set and go into botnet mode, where the bots auto-op more frequently.
* Advanced botnet functions. The more bots on a botnet use entityII.tcl
the more stable it will be. :) And in the case the bots dont use it,
it supports all general types of bot-to-bot-broadcast messages for most
tcls, e.g. "leet.tcl" and "strife.tcl". Also supports ALL floodnet
  broadcast messages.
* Fixed denial-of-service parts. The botnet is now able to portflood
and to ICMP flood (ping) an IP with all bots all the time, not depending
on the type of UNIX shell.
* Better cloaking functions. The bot will look *EXACTLY* like one of the
new BitchX-72 - clients, even the /ctcp <bot> finger - bug from eggdrop
1.1.x and later has been patched. If a non-user DCCs the eggdrop it
will reply with a fake message then disconnect. You will also be able to
use your eggdrop as a bounce server for IRC!
* Faster and more efficient takeovers and channel mode changes. Code
for mass modes and botnet mass modes on channels, and also automatic
actions (for channel safety and attacks) have been updated.
* Update of internal eggdrop user dialogue. Ability to compile an
eggdrop with Entity-II functions instead of standard eggdrop ones.
* Updated, compatible and bug-free TCL interface. Entity II has been
systematically debugged and all commands have been translated to
eggdrop 1.2.X tcl commands. Script has been optimized for tcl versions
7.6 and later.

Original Entity (Entity I)

* Merged "Wardrop" and "Raindrop" scripts to Entity I
* Updated all tcl commands to 1.1 AND 1.0 compatible standard - yeep!
* Added a basic help system and modified bindings
* Inserted better botnet support, redid war scripts
* Redid GainOp script, made PEAK and SYNCH script
* Developed parts of Entity PLUS
* Updated user management and public commands

Wardrop and Raindrop

- Wardrop consisted of a part that handled flood request from
two kinds of flood nets and allowed you to issue simple floodnet commands.
It also consisted of a version of ICMP.tcl copyright by EraseMe and
PortFlud.tcl copyright by RaLe. Botnet functionality was added to these tcl scripts.
- Raindrop consisted of the basic channel script (public commands) and some
extended DCC commands which entity derived from. It also contained useful material
from scripts that came with eggdrop 1.0p and 1.1.5 with the idea to include standard
definitions and variables into one single tcl.
